Temple of Drum is a repertory that celebrates the myriad musical notes of percussion. The ensemble keeps their name in the singular, as it represents the singular sound that collective rhythm produces. The group was formed in 2012, and has since delighted audience with their unique multi-percussion skills at concerts & festivals alike.
For this session, Temple of Drum brings together the Djembe, KenKen, Tombak, Kes Kes and Shakers to create electrifying, head-swinging beats.

Villager & Stranger is a story that plays out a villager’s assertion for his turf upon seeing a stranger enter his premise, resulting in a musical confrontation of sorts, thus bringing in a messenger of peace who gathers other friends to play together. It is, as Suchet puts it, “a stranger coming to the village and becoming part of it”.
